Multiethnic TV Leaders To Be Honored By B&C And Multichannel News At Awards Ceremony Luncheon Wednesday, April 17, 2013 At The Hilton NY

Awards Luncheon Is Preceded By Morning Program That Features Presentations By Industry Leaders

NEW YORK, Dec. 13, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Leaders in the business of multiethnic TV will be honored as part of a celebration of the viability of the multiethnic television business at the Hilton NY Hotel on Wednesday, April 17(th), 2013. The Multiethnic TV Leadership Awards will be presented at a luncheon ceremony by two leading television business publications, Broadcasting & Cable and Multichannel News. The publishers have announced that they will soon launch an online site to accept submissions for consideration of the awards. There will be a select number of individuals that will be honored for their leadership at this event. The luncheon will be preceded the same day by a morning program. The morning program will include presentations and one-on-one interviews with leaders in the multiethnic television industry.

Louis Hillelson, the Group Publisher for the two presenting publications said, "This set of awards has been developed to fill a current void. No other awards program is designed to specifically honor individual executives for their leadership in demonstrating the economic viability of the business of TV intended for audiences of a particular ethnicity or nationality." Effective in late December, an online registration site will offer the qualifications for eligibility for winning this acknowledgement, and the opportunity to submit a candidate for consideration. Entries must be made on this site by Friday, February 1, 2013. Finalist will be announced by mid-March.

The Awards ceremony, luncheon and morning program is being produced by the Schramm Marketing Group, a New York City-based marketing, promotions and event production firm with specialties in promoting television, sports, not-for-profits and technologies targeted to multiethnic audiences.
