MA-Based Band The Brew Hosts End of the World Concert at Blue Ocean Music Hall
SALISBURY BEACH, Mass., Dec. 13, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- On Friday, 12.21.12, naysayers, music-lovers, and skeptics alike are invited to Blue Ocean Music Hall to experience The Brew's End of the World Concert as they ward off apocalyptic floods, being walloped by a secret planet, seared by an angry sun, or thrown overboard by breakaway continents. Through a musical journey, the Amesbury-based band The Brew, will prepare concert-goers for the end with selections from their library of 100+ original songs and hits from their recently released Triptych CD Series. Several songs from the collection are receiving national air play including When Darkness Comes, Into the Remembering Sun, and Goin' to California.
Is the End Near?
Mayan expert Anthony Aveni, an archaeoastronomer at Colgate University in Hamilton, New York, explained in his book, The End of Time: The Maya Mystery of 2012, that come December 2012, the Long Count era ends and the complicated, cyclical calendar will roll over to Day Zero, beginning another enormous cycle. Aveni stated in a National Geographic piece, "The idea is that time gets renewed, that the world gets renewed all over again...the same way we renew time on New Year's Day."
