A Galaxy of Australian Stars to Celebrate 10 Years of G'Day in the USA
LOS ANGELES, Dec. 7, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Australians Paul Hogan and Rose Byrne will be honoured at the star-studded 10(th) Anniversary G'Day USA Los Angeles Black Tie Gala on January 12, 2013. John Travolta will also be honored as a Goodwill Ambassador for Australia. The gala is part of the multi-city G'Day USA Australia Week program that showcases Australian capabilities in the USA. Elle Macpherson and Richard Wilkins will share Master of Ceremony duties and Chef Curtis Stone is preparing a menu of premium Australian food and wine. Australian Consul General Ms. Karen Lanyon made the announcement today.
Paul Hogan (Crocodile Dundee) is being honored as an Australian Icon for his pioneering work introducing Australia as a destination to a generation of Americans. Actress Rose Byrne (Bridesmaids, Damages) will receive an Excellence in Film & Television Award for her outstanding body of work. John Travolta (Grease) is also being recognized as a Goodwill Ambassador for Australia for his ongoing support of Australia and his enthusiastic patronage at G'Day USA events since its inception in 2004.

The 10(th) Anniversary G'Day USA Los Angeles Black Tie Gala will be held at the JW Marriott at LA Live in Los Angeles. It is one of the most anticipated annual Australian events in the United States and is part of a series of events across the country in January showcasing Australia's dynamic talent in a variety of sectors from the entertainment industry to arts and science to energy and clean tech to financial services.
