Independent music hits the road
Independent music hits the road
16 Independent artists and bands, 1 tour bus, 1 film crew and five major
Canadian stops
VANCOUVER, Oct. 9, 2012 /CNW/ - HMP Recording and Development hits the
road for the second time this year with its ground-breaking Independent
Music Showcase Eastern Canadian tour. CBC's Cover Me Canada runner up,
Melanie Morgan and CFL Rock the Grey Cup finalists ERA9 will be
performing, amongst other rising stars, as HMP boldly changes the face
of the Canadian Independent Music scene.
This current effort, bookends the Spring HMP Western Canadian tour that
hit 5 major cities and spawned a documentary short film airing this
fall, called "State of the Art". This features HMP artist, Calum
Hughes, and portrays a compelling look at the revolutionary marketing
plan HMP Recording and Development is applying to the changed music
business landscape. It shows why HMP is the largest true independent
music label in the country.
"It takes a village to raise a child and a team to raise an artist, HMP
is that team." Mark Rosner, CEO.
Radio releases for the artists and bands will precede the tour. Artists
are available for radio and television interviews prior to and day of
the shows.
