Legendary Philadelphia Soul Groups Rock the Ribbon with Benefit Concert for Breastcancer.org

An Evening of the Sounds of Philadelphia Soul Honors Breastcancer.org and the Millions of Lives Touched by the Nonprofit Organization

ARDMORE, Pa., Oct. 8, 2012 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- National Breast Cancer Awareness Month winds down this year on a high note with legendary Philadelphia soul groups The Stylistics Review and The Trammps rocking a 70s soul revue at Breastcancer.org's annual Rock the Ribbon benefit concert. The concert will be held on Friday, October 26, 2012 at the SCA Club Lounge at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia, PA.

Lu Ann Cahn, veteran journalist, eight-time Emmy Award winner, co-host of "The 10! Show," and breast cancer survivor will serve as the emcee for the night's festivities. This year's co-chairs are Breastcancer.org board member Nancy Schmidt, R.N. and community volunteer Wendy Stupp.

Cancer Treatment Centers of America is the platinum sponsor for this year's event. Other corporate sponsors include Genentech, Novartis Oncology, Main Line Health, Amgen Oncology, Dansko, Remedy Health Media, and Fujirebio Diagnostics, Inc., among others.

Jerry Blavat presents Breastcancer.org's Rock the Ribbon 70s Soul Revue concert with The Stylistics Review and The Trammps beginning at 8 PM. Tickets are $125 per person and can be purchased through www.rockforbreastcancer.org.

The Stylistics Review
The Stylistics Review was one of the best-known Philadelphia soul groups of the 1970s. Billboard hits include "Stop, Look, Listen" and "Betcha by Golly, Wow."

The Trammps
The Trammps were one of the first disco bands and are best known for their Grammy-winning song, "Disco Inferno." Other Billboard hits include "Hold Back the Night."
