Antalya Film Festival Announces International Jury
LOS ANGELES, Sept. 18, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- The 49th International Antalya Golden Orange Film Festival has announced the jury members for its International Feature Film Competition, who will be serving alongside Istvan Szabo, the President of the Jury and an Oscar-winning director. The festival is Turkey's most prestigious film festival and will run from October 6 to 12, 2012 in the city of Antalya in Southern Turkey.
The winners of the International Competition will be announced live at a gala during the festival's closing night on October 12. The entries for the competition are from Europe, Central Asia and the Middle East.
The 2012 International Feature Film Competition Jury Members are:
Istvan Szabo, President of the International Jury
In 1982, Szabo won an Oscar for Best Foreign Language Film and a Best Screenplay Award at the Cannes Film Festival for "Mephisto", a WWII drama about a German actor. He has also received international recognition for "Confidence", "Colonel Redl", "Hanussen", "Sunshine" and "Sweet Emma."
Claudie Ossard
French producer, Ossard has collaborated on many cult classics, including "Amelie", "Delicatessen" and "Arizona Dream," and has worked alongside directors such as Jacques Tati, Martin Scorsese, Emir Kusturica and Francois Ozon.
Belcim Bilgin
Bilgin is a Turkish actress who received acclaim for her role in "Silent," which won the Best Short Film Award at the Cannes Film Festival in 2012. She is also known for "Zero Kilometers," "Pains of Autumn" and "Love Likes Coincidences".
Jacques van Heijningen
Van Heijningen is a leading figure in Dutch cinema circles. He is the former Director of the Dutch Film Festival (1989) and the founder of the Rotterdam Film Commission.
Cem Ozer
Ozer is a Turkish actor, writer and presenter best known for his roles in the films "Berlin Berlin", "Where are you, Firuze?" and "Adam's Trains". He has hosted a popular tv chat show since 1991.
Barbara Hollender
Polish-born film critic, Hollender has profiled more than 300 film directors including Pedro Almodovar, Woody Allen, Robert Altman and David Lynch. She is a member of The International Federation of Film Critics (FIPRESCI).
