Rock Band Garbage To Perform Live At MTV World Stage Monterrey - Mexico

The international event will also have the performance of Linkin Park and will take place on September 12th, 2012 at Arena Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, Mexico

Garbage MTV World Stage will premiere on October 12th and Linkin Park MTV World Stage on October 5th and will be broadcasted by MTV Latin America



















MIAMI, Aug. 14, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Garbage, the international alternative rock band with more than 17 million records sold, returns to Mexico after seven years to perform live at MTVWorld Stage Monterrey - Mexico. Thus, Garbage will share the same stage with the previously announced global rock icons, Linkin Park. This international music event will be taped entirely in high definition at Arena Monterrey in Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, Mexico on September 12(th) and will be broadcasted throughout the region by MTV Latin America; Linkin Park's MTV World Stage will be broadcasted on October 5(th) and Garbage's MTV World Stage on October 12(th). The event will also be seen on more than 63 MTVs around the world, exact dates to be confirmed.

Garbage is an alternative rock band that debuted in the music scene in the mid-nineties with their album Garbage (1995), which quickly became a fan favorite and was certified Gold and Platinum in several markets. From this production several singles became famous such as "Stupid Girl" "Milk," "Queer" and their biggest hit "Only Happy When It Rains". In 1998 they earned a worldwide reputation as one of the most famous rock bands when they released their multi-platinum, Grammy-nominated album called Version 2.0 (1998) including singles such as "Push It", "I Think I'm Paranoid", "Special" and "When I Grow Up".

The band from Wisconsin, United States is composed by the Scottish Shirley Manson (vocals, guitar) and the three American musicians Duke Erikson (bass, guitar, keyboards), Steve Marker (guitar, keyboards) and Butch Vig (drums, percussion), launched their third studio album Beautiful Garbage (2001), which was considered by Rolling Stone as one of the best albums of the year and in 2005 they released their fourth album called Bleed Like me.
