BATTLE CREEK, Mich., Aug. 28, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- The Pringles brand and Rock the Vote announced today a partnership to encourage young Americans to exercise their right to vote through a series of concerts across the country. From now through Election Day, the Pringles brand and Rock the Vote will work with some of today's hottest musical acts to engage and help build political participation among young voters. The partnership includes four live music events at the Republic National Convention, Democratic National Convention and two additional concerts this fall.

"The Pringles brand is always looking for new and exciting ways to engage our audience," said Sam Minardi, Pringles Brand Manager. "Through this partnership with Rock the Vote we can help mobilize today's youth to get more involved in our nation's future through music and fun."

The Rock the Vote partnership kicks-off at the Republican National Convention on Aug. 28 in Tampa, Fla., with an exclusive, VIP concert featuring DJ Steve Aoki. Next up on the concert series is the "Turn Up The Vote" event at the Democratic National Convention on Sept. 4 in Charlotte, N.C. This VIP-only event is hosted by celebrity blogger Perez Hilton and will feature an exclusive musical performance by Far East Movement. The series wraps up with the Pringles brand support of Rock the Vote and their voter registration efforts at Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros concerts on Sept. 7 in Berkeley, Calif., and on Sept. 23 in Indianapolis, Ind. In addition to providing attendees the opportunity to register to vote and learn more about their involvement in the 2012 presidential elections, attendees will receive free cans of Pringles and the new Pringles Speaker Cans.

Consumers can now amplify the 2012 presidential election season with limited-edition Pringles Speaker Cans. This portable speaker fits on top of an empty, traditional-sized Pringles can and attaches to any personal MP3 player or similar music device to create the "Pringles Speaker Can." The acoustics of the empty can intensifies your pre-election playlist, providing quality sound and bass anywhere, anytime. From now through Oct. 31, 2012, consumers can go to www.Pringles.com/current-promotions, print out the order form, fill it out and send in the form with receipt for four cans to receive a free Pringles Speaker by mail while supplies last.

"Rock the Vote is thrilled to work with Pringles to host these live music events, register fans to vote and ensure that young Americans across the country have a voice in our democracy," said Heather Smith, President, Rock the Vote.
