Mary Pickford Foundation Announces Addition of Elaina Archer to Further Legacy of Film Legend and Philanthropist Mary Pickford

MURRIETA, Calif., April 11, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Mary Pickford Foundation today announced that award-winning film producer and film historian Elaina Archer has joined the Foundation as Director of Archive & Legacy, effective immediately.

Ms. Archer's responsibilities will include management of archival, library and legacy activities; creation and maintenance of a Foundation website; establishing key partnerships with organizations and individuals that share the Foundation's mission of furthering the legacy of Mary Pickford; as well as additional activities to be announced.

With approximately 15 years of experience as a film historian, producer, director, writer and editor, Elaina Archer's film achievements include: Rita (producer, director, writer, editor), Gangland: Bullets Over Hollywood (producer, director, writer, editor), Why Be Good? Sexuality & Censorship in Early Cinema (director, producer, editor, co-writer). Her film Clara Bow: Discovering the "It" Girl (producer, co-writer, co-editor) won a Telly Award with Captured on Film: The True Story of Marion Davies (producer, co-writer, co-editor)winning an Aurora Award.
