Bravo's "Flipping Out" Star Will Offer Creative Design Tips to Art Van Guests

WARREN, Mich., March 5, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Metro Detroiters troubled with design dilemmas will have a chance to absorb the highly regarded design knowledge of celebrity interior designer, Jeff Lewis, when he returns to Art Van Furniture for an exclusive guest appearance on Thursday, March 22, 2012.

"Our guests were so intrigued with Jeff and the tips he offered for design solutions when he was here in January, we couldn't pass up an opportunity to invite him back," said Diane Charles, Director of Communications at Art Van.

The event, which will take place at Art Van Furniture in Warren, will include a design discussion from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m., then pictures from 8 p.m. to 9 p.m. WDIV Style Editor, Jon Jordan will host the event. Lewis and his ever popular side kick Jenni Pulos will offer valuable design secrets, like don't be scared to mix traditional and contemporary, don't over accessorize, and paint walls a color other than plain white.

Jeff Lewis is a respected developer and designer. He is known as a skilled house flipper through his television docu-series on Bravo called "Flipping Out," now in production on its sixth season. Within a year of forming Jeff Lewis Design, House Beautiful Magazine tapped Jeff to design their 2010 "Kitchen of the Year" project in New York City's famed Rockefeller Plaza. He also launched an exclusive line of home goods for direct response television retailer QVC the same year. In 2011, Lewis signed a marketing endorsement with quartz surface manufacturer Caesarstone to help increase the brand's visibility. In 2012, consumer products giant Johnson & Johnson selected Lewis to curate design on a line of toothbrushes for their REACH by Design brand, available this Summer. Lewis has also recently launched a second television series with Bravo called "Interior Therapy," premiering March 14.
