America Teve Moving Up To Channel 48; MundoFox on Channel 41
MIAMI, March 9, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Omar Romay, President of America CV Group owner of WJAN (Channel 41) and WFUN (Ch 48), both serving the Miami DMA, is most pleased to announce that the Group has entered into an affiliation agreement with Fox International Channels for Ch 41 to air MundoFox network programming beginning this fall and to produce more than 500 hours a year to be broadcasted nationally. On September 2012 America Teve, the current programming of Ch 41, known to its hundreds of thousands of viewers, will move its popular program lineup up to Ch 48.
Romay stated; "we are very excited about this move; Fox International Channels together with the RCN Television Group is in the process of building a national network made up of quality programming designed to inform and entertain today's Latino audience. We are proud to have been selected to be one of their major market affiliates".
"It is very important to state" -Romay continued- "that our absolute commitment to provide locally produced, relevant content for the South Florida Hispanic community has not changed at all. We will be moving the programming that has made America Teve one of South Florida's most popular Spanish language stations up to Ch 48, a short hop on the dial. What this affiliation with MundoFox will mean to us is that we will now be able to produce for America Teve Ch 48 even more of the popular local programming that our viewers have been asking for".
America Teveis well regarded by its loyal audience and its many advertisers for the quality and popularity of its locally produced entertainment and information programs. No other South Florida station can come close to the local hours of production generated here in Miami by America Teve. Shows like, El Show de Fernando, TN3, and Minuto de Fama have captured the hearts of South Florida's Hispanics with humor, music, and fun while A Mano Limpia, Sevcec a Fondo, and America Noticias have kept viewers well informed as to the latest news and provided them with an in-depth discussion of issues of importance.
These programs and more that are now in the pre-production stage will, this fall, make a seamless transition from Ch 41 to Ch 48. As it is said in South Florida: "Pa'arriba, Pa'alante".
