Hostess Announces $25,000 Grand Prize Winner of "Transform Your Treat" Instant Win Game

Hostess and Transformers Continue Treating Fans to Blu-ray(TM)/DVD Rebate Deal

IRVING, Texas, Nov. 4, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- After receiving nearly 183,000 total entries,Hostess®, maker of America's most iconic snack cakes, announced that Clarissa Rock of Hudson Falls, NY, is the $25,000 grand prize winner of the "Transform Your Treat"instant win game.

Beginning September 12, 2011, Hostess invited consumers to play the instant win game online as part of a partnership with Paramount Home Entertainment's Transformers: Dark of the Moon. Hostess and Transformers fans visited the Hostess website to play "Transform Your Treat" and watch their snack cakes morph like TRANSFORMERS robots. Each visitor had the chance to win $25,000 as well as a host of other exciting prizes. In addition to Ms. Rock's grand prize, Hostess announced that 10 first prize winners received Xbox Prize Packages, 40 second prize winners were awarded Xbox Games and Transformers DVDs and 35 third prize winners won a year's supply of Hostess snacks.

"I was extremely excited when I found out I won the $25,000 grand prize," said Clarissa Rock, who entered the sweepstakes at a friend's suggestion. "From the Twinkies I remember eating as a kid, to the CupCakes I enjoy now as an afternoon snack, I've always been a big Hostess fan. I am still in disbelief!"

Clarissa is planning on putting the $25,000 toward her daughter's education as well as saving for the purchase of her family's first home.

As part of Transformers: Dark of the Moon partnership, Hostess introduced limited-edition TRANSFORMERS-themed snack cakes featuring OPTIMUS PRIME®, SHOCKWAVE(TM), BUMBLEBEE(TM), and SENTINEL PRIME(TM) which were celebrated by Hostess and TRANSFORMERS fans alike.

The Halloween TRANSFORMERS partnership is continuing from now until November 19, 2011 with a special rebate offer from Hostess. Consumers can receive a $4 rebate with the purchase of two Hostess products and a Transformers: Dark of the Moon Blu-ray(TM) or DVD. Hostess fans were also able to get in the Halloween spirit by visiting the Hostess website and printing out official TRANSFORMERS BUMBLEBEE(TM) and OPTIMUS PRIME® masks. Additionally, they played "What is your TRANSFORMERS Name?" to find out their AUTOBOT or DECEPTICON names and can still share them with friends and family via Facebook and Twitter.
