BEIJING, Oct. 17, 2011 /PRNewswire-Asia-FirstCall/ -- Charm Communications Inc. (NASDAQ: CHRM) ("Charm" or the "Company"), a leading advertising agency in China, today announced that its annual general meeting ("AGM") of shareholders will be held at 3:00 p.m. Beijing/Hong Kong time on December 7, 2011, at the offices of Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP, 35/F ICBC Tower, 3 Garden Road, Central, Hong Kong, Hong Kong S.A.R.
Shareholders of record and beneficial owners of the Company's American depositary shares ("ADSs") at the close of business on November 7, 2011 are entitled to attend the AGM and any adjournment or postponement thereof. No agenda items are expected to require shareholder vote and therefore, a proxy is not enclosed with this notice. Additionally, attendees at the AGM will not be voting on any matters, whether in person or otherwise; accordingly, the AGM will serve as an open forum for shareholders to discuss Company affairs with Charm's management.
