Bryan Harpole to Head Production and Operations for Ubiquity Studios

IRVINE, Calif., Sept. 29, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Ubiquity Broadcasting Corporation (UBC), a leading digital lifestyle and multimedia company, accelerating the convergence of media, today announced Bryan Harpole as general manager of Ubiquity Studios, a division of UBC. Harpole has worked in television production and operations industry for nearly two decades. From the creation of studio and documentary-style productions, to the management and technical maintenance of production facilities, Bryan brings a unique and broad set of skills to the team.

After graduating from East Carolina University with a degree in Systems Management, followed by a professional soccer career, Harpole immediately went to work in freelance production with numerous networks including ESPN, NBC Sports, Fox Sports, Turner Sports, and Comcast Sportsnet. Working on live television production trucks all over the U.S., his responsibilities varied from: camera operator, EVS operator, graphics, producer, director and technical manager.

During this same period of time, Harpole managed events and technical maintenance at the Verizon Center in Washington, D.C. and worked on several events such as Summer Olympics, FIFA World Cup, NHL Stanley Cup Finals and NBA Finals.

In 2006, he accepted a position with Discovery Communications where he managed the live events and studio production for Discovery's eleven major networks, and oversaw more than fifty live events each year. Harpole was later invited to supervise the build-out of the ESPN Los Angeles Production Center located at LA Live. As manager of production operations, he was responsible for operations and support for sports center, studio operations, live remotes and special events as related to ESPN.
