America's Original Rock n' Roll Barbershop® to Abercrombie and Fitch: "Be Cool, Man."
CHICAGO, Aug. 19, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- In a goodwill effort to help Abercrombie and Fitch make amends with the MTV generation they offended yesterday, Floyd's 99, known as America's original rock n' roll barbershop, is offering to give any and all A&F employees a "Situation"-style haircut (shaved on the sides, longer on top) free of charge.
USA Today reported that A & F stock prices fell 10 percent after the hip clothing company dissed Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino, saying they would pay the Jersey Shore star not to wear their clothes.
"MTV fans apparently want to send Abercrombie executives to the electric chair," said Rob O'Brien, co-founder of Floyd's 99, a venue that other MTV stars have used to film their music videos and meet and greet with their fans. "We just want to put them in the barber chair. Then at least they'll look cool, even if they don't always behave that way."
Acting as a way-shower, Pete "The Reconciliation" Vercellin, a former Abercrombie employee and current managing partner of Floyd's five shops in Chicagoland, got a "Situation"-style cut himself.
"I think 'The Reconciliation' has gone out on a limb to help bridge differences here," said O'Brien. "All we are asking is, give Pete a chance."

About Floyd's 99:
If Rolling Stone ever opened a barbershop, it would look like Floyd's 99. Music is broadcast from their own radio station and they have their own version of The Wall, where the gods of rock gaze down from an immense poster wall onto black leather barber chairs. Think: Pink Floyd meets Floyd the Barber. The brainchild of the O'Brien brothers, the first shop opened in Denver in 2001 and has since become the fastest growing group of barbershops in the nation, much of that growth happening during one of the worst economic periods in US history.
