SYOSSET, N.Y., July 5, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Kenneth John Grant, of Buffalo, New York, has been included in the Strathmore's Who's Who Worldwide Edition for his outstanding contributions and achievements in the field of music education.
ABOUT KENNETH JOHN GRANT
Mr. Grant has had more than 38 years of experience in the music field as a performer and teacher. He is currently an Associate Professor with the Eastman School of Music in Rochester, New York, where he teaches classical music and jazz. Mr. Grant has played with various orchestras during his career including the Principal Clarinet, the Colorado Philharmonic, the Columbus Symphony Orchestra, the Rochester Philharmonic and has performed as a Soloist with the Rochester Philharmonic and the Columbus Symphony. He has played in several premiers including the Clarinet Concerto, by Sydney Hodkinson (world premier) and Benjamin Britten's Concerto Movement for Clarinet and Orchestra (U.S. premier), both with the Rochester Philharmonic. Mr. Grant has also served as a soloist with the Eastman Wind Ensemble Japan Tour and participated in the Oklahoma Clarinet Symposium, KlarFest at Ohio State University, KlarFest in New Orleans, International Festival at Round Top and Aria International Summer Academy at Ball State University. In addition, Mr. Grant has experience serving as an Assistant Principal with the Cleveland Orchestra European Tour. He received a Performer's Certificate from the Eastman School of Music and is a member of the Music Teachers National Association and the Musician's Union. Mr. Grant currently resides in Rochester, New York, where he enjoys running, outdoor sports, Zumba, swimming and astronomy.
