CLIO Healthcare and Pharmapalooza Join Forces for Two Nights of Awards and Entertainment
NEW YORK, July 12, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- CLIO Healthcare and Pharmapalooza today announced they intend to join forces for an unprecedented two-day event, November 9-10, 2011, in a combined celebration that honors celebrities of the health care industry through their musical talents and professional accomplishment.
"The growth in popularity and recognition of both Pharmapalooza and the CLIO Healthcare Awards over the last three years has been nothing short of impressive and we applaud the efforts of everyone involved with Pharmapalooza to benefit The Children's Hospital at Montefiore," said Karl Vontz, Director, CLIO Awards. "This collaboration will highlight both the personal talents and professional triumphs of the industry's elite."
Pharmapalooza, a charitable entertainment event, which takes place on November 9th, will tap into the sometimes hidden musical and vocal talent of healthcare advertising professionals to benefit The Children's Hospital at Montefiore (CHAM). On November 10th, The CLIO Healthcare Awards will recognize outstanding advertising, design, and communication efforts through the pharmaceutical industry's fastest growing and soon to be most cherished industry award ceremonies. In addition to the support and promotion of each other's event, the winning Pharmapalooza band will take center stage for an encore presentation at CLIO Healthcare award ceremony in celebration of charity and hard work our industry is known for.
"The partnership between our two organizations truly exemplifies the talent, character, and accomplishments of those professionals that represent the healthcare advertising industry-both inside and outside of the office," said Josh Prince from the CDM Group, who are the hosts of Pharmapalooza. "It is our hope that this partnership is the first of many with The CLIO Healthcare Awards that will help us generate greater awareness and support for CHAM, and the admirable work it does to directly improve the health and lives of children here in New York City."
Entries for both the CLIO Awards and Pharmapalooza bands are being accepted now. Healthcare professionals dedicated to excellence in public relations and marketing are encouraged to become a part of the excitement by visiting www.cliohealthcare.com to learn more about entry categories and requirements, event details, and to register to attend.
About The CLIO Healthcare Awards
The CLIO Healthcare Awards is an extension of The CLIO Awards, one of the world's most recognized awards competitions for advertising, design and communications, which celebrated its 50th Anniversary in 2009. Healthcare accounts for more than one-third of the U.S. gross national product. It has become one of the most visible sectors of advertising, promotion and creative design in the last few years, particularly on TV and online. However, it is regulated differently and more stringently than traditional advertising and promotion. The CLIO Healthcare Awards will be executed using the same rigorous standards and commitment to excellence as the CLIO Awards, but levels the playing field to qualify and judge this particular and massive industry sector more fairly and appropriately.
The CLIO Healthcare Awards are produced by Prometheus Global Media, a diversified company with leading assets in the media and entertainment arenas including: Music (Billboard and its related conferences and events, including The Billboard Latin Music Awards), Entertainment (The Hollywood Reporter, Backstage, ShoWest, ShowEast, Cineasia, and Cinema Expo International); and Advertising & Marketing (Adweek, Mediaweek, Brandweek, Adweek Conferences, and The CLIO Awards).
