Tracy Morgan Opens Up to Russell Simmons on Anti-Gay Controversy at GlobalGrind.com

NEW YORK, June 13, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Tracy Morgan opens up to Russell Simmons on hip-pop news website, GlobalGrind, regarding the recent controversy surrounding his anti-gay comments.

Morgan, who tells Russell to count him in at the next gay marriage protest, apologizes for the anti-gay remarks stating he is most sad about the comments he made about kids and bullying.

"I am deeply sorry for the comments I made. What I am most sad about is the comments I made about kids and bullying," Morgan told Simmons. "I would never want any young person to think that I wasn't on their side and if any young person thinks they can bully a young gay kid, come see me at 30 Rock."

Simmons, a long time supporter of Morgan, first discovered the comedian when he gave him his first big break on Russell Simmons Presents Def Comedy Jam.
