Mark Malkoff's Latest Video Adventure Premieres today on www.MyDamnChannel.com
NEW YORK, June 1, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Comedian/Filmmaker/New Yorker Mark Malkoff is a recovering fat kid with lingering body-image issues. He grew tired seeing pictures on TV and in movies of men with six-pack abs. He empathized with women bombarded with images of nearly unattainable bodies of models and celebrities. Malkoff decided to go on a grueling 30-day workout with a killer diet to successfully achieve six-pack abs for his latest video adventure for My Damn Channel.
The videos are available now at: www.MyDamnChannel.com/MarkMalkoff.
"Men's magazines always have headlines reading, 'Get Six-Pack Abs in 30 days.'" Malkoff said. "I wanted to see what a regular guy who doesn't work out would have to subject himself to in order to look like 'The Situation.'"
Malkoff teamed with personal trainer, Robert Brace, to carve a six-pack into his once-flabby midsection in 28 days. They worked out 2-3 times daily doing intense weightlifting, cardio and abdominal exercises. Malkoff's workouts took him to New York landmarks including Grand Central Terminal, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, and the Downtown 1 subway. Malkoff lost 16.8 pounds and won a washboard stomach.
Trainer Robert Brace said, "I pushed Mark harder than he originally thought he could go and put him on a strict, high-protein, low-carb diet, which included 330 hardboiled egg whites in one month. It absolutely worked."
"I won't be able to plan my next video until I enjoy a 24-hour NYC eating tour at Crumbs, Carmine's, and Serendipity 3," said Malkoff. "These fine establishments are about to make a lot of money off of me."
