Sustainable Brands '11 Announces Playhouse Concert and Give Back Program

June 7-10 Conference Adds 1% for The Planet Concert and Activation of Play On Programs Designed to Support Regional Charities

SAN FRANCISCO, May 24, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Sustainable Life Media today announced the addition of recording artist Chris Velan as featured performer at Sustainable Brands '11 (SB'11) Playhouse evening event on June 9th. Coca-Cola's Tom LaForge will serve as Master of Ceremonies and kick off the evening by announcing the SB Innovation Open winner. Several members of the global SB community will also be showcasing their talents before Chris takes the stage. Scheduled for Thursday at 9:00pm in the Steinbeck Auditorium, the concert is sponsored by 1% for the Planet.

In addition to the benefit concert, Sustainable Brands will also be introducing a new closing session Give Back program that includes a wide range of activities in which the conference community can participate to extend their involvement. As part of the last day, Specialized Bikes will be conducting a participatory activity resulting in a donation to the local Boys and Girls Club. Attendees will also have an opportunity to win an adult specialized bike and Trikke electric moped. The conference's Zero Waste initiatives will be announced at the closing session with Monterey Institute, Sustainability Academy and City of Monterey receiving all leftover gift items. Lastly, One World Futbol Project will reveal donations to local kids.
