NEW YORK, May 24, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- NAMIC (National Association for Multi-ethnicity in Communications), today announced Jose Diaz-Balart, anchor, Telemundo Network News as host of the 2011NAMIC Annual Awards Breakfast. Scheduled for Thursday, June 16, 2011, from 7:00 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. (CT), the NAMIC Annual Awards Breakfast will take place at McCormick Place Convention Center in Chicago.

Held as part of Cable Connection - Spring, the NAMIC Annual Awards Breakfast will showcase this year's Next Generation Leaders. Honoring emerging executives of color, the Next Generation Leader Awards recognize business leaders for demonstrating exceptional business acumen, while embodying NAMIC's mission. Further highlighting the event will be the presentation of the Friend of NAMIC Award to Mae A. Douglas, executive vice president and chief people officer, Cox Communications.
