Boston Luxury Hotel to Offer Prix Fixe Options and Mini-Concert For Guests

BOSTON, May 2, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- To celebrate Mother's Day, the historic Omni Parker House will treat guests to a special performance from Grammy Award-winning string ensemble, The Parker Quartet, as part of its annual Mother's Day Brunch. The mini-concert will take place in the lobby of the historic Boston hotel on Sunday, May 8 at 11:30 a.m. Seating at Parker's Restaurant for a special prix fixe menu - which features delectable dishes such as Herb Crusted Roast Prime Rib with Horseradish Au Jus and Pan Seared Golden Sea Bass with Citrus Beurre Blanc - is available at noon and 2:30 p.m.

The Parker Quartet takes its name from the Omni Parker House, the longest continually operating hotel in the U.S. and one of Boston's most historical landmarks. Hailed by The New York Times as "something extraordinary" and the Boston Globe for their "fiercely committed performances," The Parker Quartet has rapidly distinguished itself as one of the preeminent ensembles of its generation.

Members of the string ensemble, which include Daniel Chong (violin), Karen Kim (violin), Jessica Bodner (viola) and Kee-Hyun Kim (cello), hold graduate degrees in performance and chamber music from the New England Conservatory of Music where they were part of the prestigious Professional String Quartet Training Program.
