Mastors, the author of Breaking Al Qaeda, can speak on the death of Osama Bin Laden and her on-air radio interview with KSRO/CNN Radio this morning is open for review on You Tube . She is program director for Graduate Intelligence and National Security Studies at American Military University. She is also a research professor at the Institute of Intercommunal Conflict at Washington State University.
Previous to this, she was an Associate Professor in the National Decision Making Department at the Naval War College, and also held various senior intelligence and policy positions in the office of Undersecretary of Defense for Intelligence and the Defense Intelligence Agency.
Dr. Mastors is an expert on political psychology as it pertains to conflict, terrorism and political leadership. She writes frequently on understanding leaders and group dynamics from a political-psychological perspective. She has two books on al Qaeda recruitment and political psychology: The Lesser Jihad: Recruits and the al-Qaeda Network and Breaking al-Qaeda.
