CLEVELAND, May 23, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- The Marc's Great American Rib Cook Off & Music Festival produced by Live Nation and presented by Time Warner Cable, The Plain Dealer, WKYC-TV3 and MinuteMenJobs.com is set totake place at Jacobs Pavilion and the Nautica Entertainment Complex on the West Bank of the Flats in downtown Cleveland. The Rib Cook Off takes place Memorial Day Weekend and celebrates its 20th anniversary Friday, May 27-Monday, May 30, 2011.

Live Nation has JUST ANNOUNCEDBullet For My Valentine will perform at the Rib Cook Off on the Bud Light Main Stage Sunday, May 29 at 9:00pm with special guest Halestorm at 7:15pm. Tickets are on sale now. The weekend begins Friday, May 27 with Seether at 9:15pm and Cleveland's own Ohio Sky at 7:30pm. On Saturday, May 28, Collective Soul performs at 9:15pm and Red Sun Rising at 7:30pm. Celebrate Memorial Day Monday, May 30 with Bruce Hornsby & the Noisemakers at 6:15pm and Matt Schofield at 4:00pm. All entertainment is FREE with your paid general admission. Ten of the best grilling teams on the professional barbecue circuit will compete for "Greatest Ribs in America" and Akron-Canton Airport "People's Choice" awards.The event's prize for sauce will now be known as the "Butch Lupinetti Greatest Sauce in America" award to honor the late New Jersey grilling great who won the title multiple times and passed away in 2010.

On Saturday, May 28, six contestants will participate in the Marc's Amateur Grilling Competition at 12:00pm and show choirs from Akron and Cleveland-area schools and colleges will perform in the ultimate Glee-inspired singing showdown at 1:00pm. Plus, The Big Bite Tour featuring the Travel Channel's Man vs. Food will host rib-eating challenges during select hours May 28 and May 29 only.
