LOS ANGELES, April 28, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- "Beyond the Blackboard," the latest Hallmark Hall of Fame movie starring Emily VanCamp ("Brothers and Sisters," "Everwood"), which premiered on CBS Sunday, April 24th, is available now to stream online at SpiritClips.com. Premium members of SpiritClips.com will be able to enjoy the full-length film at no additional charge, while free and non-members can view the film for just $1.99 from April 25-May 1 and $3.99 from May 2 onwards.
"Beyond the Blackboard" is based on the inspiring true story of Stacey Bess, a 24-year-old wife and mother of two in Salt Lake City who long dreamed of becoming a teacher. Stacey sets out to get her first teaching position after graduating from college, but with the school year already underway, she finds her options limited. She ends up accepting a position at "a school with no name," where she is expected to teach homeless children from grades one through six in one makeshift classroom. With the support from her husband, Stacey is able to overcome many tough challenges to eventually transform the barren space into a warm, comfortable environment where her young students not only acquire knowledge; they also acquire self-respect and a measure of dignity.
