Everyone's Invited to Praise and Worship at LA Congress Youth Day
PORTLAND, Ore. and ANAHEIM, Calif., March 3, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- On March 17, 2011 over 15,000 teens will be united in faith by the reggae/Latino-pop fusion of "Everyone's Invited/Son Todos Invitados"--the official theme song of Youth Day at this year's Los Angeles Religious Education Congress, written by spiritandsong.com artist Pedro Rubalcava.
"In this day where Facebook is so popular, the idea of a 'Godbook' really appealed to me--God will never reject a friend request," says Rubalcava. "I strived to create a theme song that spoke to God's unconditional acceptance and love for all."
The theme song is only part of the role spiritandsong.com will play during Youth Day. Rubalcava, in partnership with popular Catholic musician Jesse Manibusan, will emcee the opening and closing rallies. On Saturday, March 19th, Manibusan will join some of the biggest names in contemporary Catholic music--including Tom Booth, Santiago Fernandez, ValLimar Jansen, Curtis Stephan and Grammy-nominated Sarah Hart--for Prayer Jam, spiritandsong.com's free annual concert.
To share the experience of Prayer Jam and Youth Day with their parishes, attendees can purchase Everyone's Invited/Son Todos Invitados--a CD of contemporary and bilingual songs featured throughout liturgies and events at LA Congress.
Among the CD's seven inspiring tracks is "Unidos." Written and recorded by Santiago Fernandez and Jesse Manibusan, the song marks a first-time writing and recording collaboration for these renowned Catholic musicians. "Yes, the Church is diverse and multicultural, but we are one community of faith," shares Fernandez. "Instead of constantly looking at our differences, I wanted to celebrate our oneness in the Lord."
Fans can find "Unidos," as well as Rubalcava's Youth Day theme song and other favorites from the event on Everyone's Invited/Son Todos Invitados, available for purchase throughout LA Congress at the spiritandsong.com booth or at http://www.spiritandsong.com/Everyones-Invited.
