Outdoor Channel & Bonnier Corporation Renew Multi-Year Strategic Partnership

Leaders in Outdoor Media Continue Multi-faceted Collaborative Partnership

Stay Tuned for More 'The Gun Nuts' & 'Total Outdoorsman Challenge' Adventures in 2011

TEMECULA, Calif., Jan. 19, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Outdoor Channel, America's Leader in Outdoor TV, has renewed a multi-year strategic partnership with Bonnier Corporation, publisher of the world's most popular outdoor titles, including Field & Stream, Outdoor Life and several industry-leading marine titles. This partnership, which brings together two top media brands in the outdoor industry, covers a variety of platforms including programming, advertising, marketing and digital initiatives. Thanks to the combined strength of their television, print, online and event properties, Outdoor Channel and Bonnier Corporation will reach an audience of more than 57 million outdoor enthusiasts, allowing them to maintain their position as the premiere hub for outdoor related content.

"Some of Outdoor Channel's success can be credited to our partnerships with like-minded companies and organizations such as Bonnier Corporation, who share our love and passion for the great outdoors," said Denise Conroy-Galley, Senior Vice President, Marketing & Research for Outdoor Channel. "We are excited for the renewal of our partnership with Bonnier Corporation and look forward to the continuation of this highly successful collaborative relationship for years to come."

Under terms of the agreement, Outdoor Channel and Bonnier Corporation will leverage their strengths on their respective television, print and digital platforms to provide the highest quality content to the hunters, anglers, archers and outdoorsmen of the U.S. Most notably, for the third consecutive year, Outdoor Channel will be the exclusive television home of "Field & Stream's Total Outdoorsman Challenge," an original program developed through the partnership that follows the road to the crowning of the Total Outdoorsman. In addition, the two companies will once again collaborate to produce another season of "Field & Stream's The Gun Nuts Presented by Smith & Wesson," which premiered on Outdoor Channel in 2010. This one-of-a-kind series brings to life the highly successful "Gun Nut" franchise Web site and publication feature, further demonstrating the power of the strategic partnership.

"The renewal of our strategic partnership with Outdoor Channel represents the collaboration of two leading companies in the outdoor industry. By combining the best assets of each company our goal is to provide outdoorsmen and women the highest quality content products possible," said Eric Zinczenko, Vice President and Group Publisher of Bonnier Corporation's Outdoor Group.

Both Outdoor Channel and Bonnier Corporation have developed strong digital platforms for their brands. Through the deal, Outdoor Channel will continue to syndicate a video player featuring programming highlights on both FieldandStream.com and OutdoorLife.com. Likewise, Bonnier Corporation will provide editorial content to be featured on OutdoorChannel.com.

Outdoor Channel and Bonnier Corporation will also join together on a variety of consumer direct marketing campaigns and at various trade and consumer events throughout 2011. Outdoor Channel will undertake numerous advertising tactics in both Field & Stream and Outdoor Life including traditional ads and advertortials, among others.

The partnership will also be supported by both Outdoor Channel and Bonnier Corporation's sales teams, as they continue to offer fully integrated advertising packages, including TV, print and digital.

Field & Stream and Outdoor Life are the largest, most recognized outdoor publications in the world, and like Outdoor Channel, are completely devoted to the outdoor experience and lifestyle. For more than 100 years, Field & Stream and Outdoor Life have provided hunters and fishermen with compelling stories, expert tips and trusted advice through their magazines, websites and events.
