The event will take place in the National Press Club's historic Ballroom (529 14th St NW 13th floor Washington, D.C. 20045) from 8 p.m. until 1 a.m.
General admission tickets are $150 per person. For an additional $50 guests can enjoy a three-course meal in the Club's restaurant The Fourth Estate (www.press.org/fourthestate).
The event will feature an open bar, hors d'oeuvres, party favors and a champagne toast at midnight. The attire is black-tie optional.
Doc Scantlin and His Imperial Palms Orchestra are the gold-standard of New Year's entertainment. For many years they rang in the New Year at New York's Rainbow Room. Doc's whole ensemble offers a memorable evening of musical entertainment. From the 1920s speakeasy numbers such as "Puttin' On The Ritz" and the "Charleston" through the romantic, elegant 1930's of Irving Berlin, Cole Porter, George Gershwin, and the wonderful swing era of Benny Goodman, Glenn Miller, etc...
