Verizon Adds 'The Hub HD' to FiOS TV Lineup

New Children's Network, Also Available in SD, Joins FiOS TV's Leading High-Def Offering of Up to 140 Channels

NEW YORK, Oct. 11 /PRNewswire/ -- Verizon is adding a new high-definition channel to the FiOS TV lineup, with the launch of The Hub HD. The channel, formerly known as Discovery Kids HD, joins FiOS TV's extensive channel lineup, which includes up to 140 HD channels and more than 3,300 HD video-on-demand titles every month - the best in HD entertainment.

The Hub HD, available on FiOS TV Channel 789, is a multi-platform joint venture between Discovery Communications and Hasbro Inc. The network will entertain, enlighten, empower and educate children and their families, and feature original programming as well as content from Discovery's library of award-winning children's educational programming, from Hasbro's rich portfolio of entertainment and educational properties built during the past 90 years, and from leading third-party producers worldwide. The Hub lineup includes animated and live-action series, specials and game shows, and will extend its content through a robust and engaging online presence. The channel is also available in SD on FiOS TV Channel 259.

In addition to Verizon's extensive HD channel lineup, FiOS TV offers a broad collection of programming, with more than 520 all-digital channels.
