MEXICO CITY, Sept. 7 /PRNewswire/ -- TV Azteca, S.A. de C.V. (BMV: TVAZTCA; Latibex: XTZA), one of the two largest Spanish-speaking television content producers in the world, announced today the short film "El Pozo" produced by Mexican filmmaker Guillermo Arriaga was screened in the "Orizzonti" (Horizons) section at the Venice Film Festival to standing ovations.
"El Pozo" is part of the TV Azteca short film series, "13 Formas de Amar a mi Mexico," which presents 13 short films inspired by Mexico's Bicentennial of Independence and the Centennial of the Mexican Revolution. The series are presented during 13 consecutive weeks on TV Azteca channels in Mexico, as well as on Azteca America in the United States, beginning in September.
"El Pozo" narrates the story of a family living in rural Mexico during the Mexican Revolution. When the youngest grandson falls into a well, the family is faced with the anguish of change as attempts to save the boy are sidelined by the Revolution.
