Meredith TV Group Signs With Rentrak's Local Television Ratings Service in Two Top-30 Markets

PORTLAND, Ore., Aug. 2 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Rentrak Corporation (NASDAQ:RENT), the leader in multi-screen media measurement serving the advertising and entertainment industries, today announced a contract with Meredith Corporation (NYSE:MDP), one of the nation's leading media and marketing companies. Meredith's Local Media Group properties include 12 local television stations in key markets throughout the nation. Meredith will begin using Rentrak's local television measurement service, StationView Essentials, for its CBS-affiliates WGCL-TV in Atlanta and WFSB-TV in Hartford-New Haven.

Adding two new stations and markets for Rentrak, whose local clients now total 40 station clients in 21 markets, further highlights the support Rentrak has gained from TV stations and groups who are embracing new ways to measure their audiences and the value their stations bring to advertisers.
