Peasinapodtv.com Poll Warns: Your Houseguests and Roommates May Be Marking Their Territory
LOS ANGELES, April 15 /PRNewswire/ -- People spend precious money and time making their home a perfect reflection of their unique lifestyle and taste. Yet there is a disturbing problem lurking that may destroy the peace of mind of the homeowner every time he or she has a houseguest. Seth Coltan is chronicling this controversy and conducting a poll, which at present, reveals that nearly 70% of both men and women responding pee in the shower. This "GLASS HALF EMPTY OR HALF FULL" poll is continually updated and posted on his website: http://www.peasinapodtv.com/ .
Seth first heard of this phenomenon when his friend Bethany was visiting from out of town. "I was so disgusted when she told me, especially because I knew she'd be using my shower again before she left." He added, "I was determined to prove that she was an anomaly and that most people absolutely do not urinate in the shower."
He began asking people randomly if it was something they do, and more often than not, people told him that they do, indeed, urinate in the shower. "It really affected me. I didn't know how to process it. And now I really had to start turning people away who wanted to spend the night at my place since I only have one bathroom. Also, looking for new roommates suddenly became very awkward."
"Peeing in the shower is perfectly normal," states Steve Simmons of Monterey, CA. "It's mostly a matter of convenience. You're in the shower, and you realize you need to go. It just makes sense." But Seth doesn't buy it: "When people say they do it for convenience, it's an absolute cop-out. In just about every case, there's a toilet located right next to the shower. It's not too hard to plan that one out in advance."
Seth, who is an actor/producer in Los Angeles, decided to deal with his feelings on this topic by writing a short film called: PEES IN A POD. He quickly realized that the characters he created were really funny and best suited for episodic TV.
He committed himself to producing an independent TV pilot called PEAS IN A POD (notice the subtle spelling difference). The story follows Frank and his younger siblings, Julie and Tom, who share a small apartment. The tag line: "3 Siblings, 2 Bedrooms, 1 Bathroom, ZERO TOLERANCE!"
"Trust me," Seth says, "this issue is a dividing factor in the apartment."
Seth recently put his comedic pilot on the Internet so everyone can see it. He is hoping that the public enjoys it and that a network will be interested in developing the show as an ongoing series.
"This show has a lot of conflict and a massive amount of heart. I believe people enjoy watching relatable characters that can help them laugh at themselves," Seth concludes.
