Randell & Schippers, Hit Songwriter/Artists and Creators of GI Jams(TM) to Introduce and Perform With Them

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz., April 6 /PRNewswire/ -- Joe Speed Band, the #1 most played and downloaded artist on GIJams.com, will be honored at the "Joe Speed Band Homecoming Celebration" in Downtown Scottsdale, Arizona on Saturday, April 10 at 2PM. Joe Speed Band members Jeremiah Eaton, Nathan Harvey and Dusty Scott, three friends and fellow musicians who just served their second deployment in Iraq, have recently returned home and GI Jams(TM), in collaboration with the Arizona Barbeque Festival (ABF), have announced the event which will feature a live performance by the band. GI Jams(TM) is in part sponsored by Alliance Beverage Distributing Company of Arizona who helped make this event possible.

Hit songwriter/artist/producers Denny Randell and Biddy Schippers, who will be performing as Randell & Schippers at the April 10 event as well, are the creators and co-directors of GI Jams(TM). The multi-media entertainment project and its web site GIJams.com debuted in November 2009 and is dedicated to featuring and promoting the musical talents of the men and women of the U.S. armed forces. The Joe Speed Band members, then part of the Wyoming National Guardsmen and stationed in Iraq, were among the many military artists who signed up to the site and posted their music.

They recorded their song "Cowboy Soldiers (Please Send Me A Beer)" on Christmas Eve in their tent on the Iraqi Desert so they could join GI Jams(TM) and have a song to post on the site. It immediately caught not only Randell & Schippers' collective ear, but also captured the hearts of many other GI Jams(TM) members, artists and supporters, who together made it the site's most popular song.

Now these soldiers have just returned to the U.S. from their active duty deployment and, thanks to the opportunity, support and public recognition they have achieved since signing onto GIJams.com, will be giving a musical performance at ABF which the band has called "a dream come true."
