Bill Protzmann to Present 'Listen Yourself Well' at The 60 Minute University

INDIAN WELLS, Calif., Dec. 10 /PRNewswire/ -- Bill Protzmann brings his presentation on the healing power of music to The 60 Minute University in Indian Wells on Monday December 14th, 2009 from 9-10am, at the Miramonte Resort & Spa. This educational and informative program teaches participants to use their intrinsic ability to find wellness and healing by listening to the music they love, and provides well-researched facts, insight and practical life experience in support of how easy and rewarding this can be.

About Bill Protzmann

Bill Protzmann is an Associate member of the American Music Therapy Association, and a member of The Healing Music Organization. He holds magna cum laude degrees in performance piano / musical theater (University of California, Irvine, 1999), and English writing (Principia College, 1983). He is an accomplished composer, arranger, accompanist, entertainer, public speaker, entrepreneur, educator, writer and poet, and a warm and humorous storyteller, and has performed for live audiences for more than 40 years.

Among Protzmann's current projects and accomplishments:

-- He works with veterans, active-duty soldiers and organizations that
support the troops, teaching individuals how they can use the power of
music to relieve symptoms of war-related post-traumatic stress
disorder (PTSD);

"Equilibrium," with Jodi Roberts (Tibetan bowls) and Cornell
Kinderknecht (world flutes);
-- He is co-creator and co-star of the original smash operatic cabaret,
"Diva!," which he performs regularly with soprano Susan Asbjornson,
Founder and Artistic Director of The Contemporary Opera of Los
Angeles;
-- He is co-creator and keyboardist of "The Rumi Project" a participatory
performance in which the audience chooses poems by Jelaluddin Rumi
that are then sung to improvised Western music.
