An All-New Season of 'High School Reunion' Premieres On TV Land With a New Class, New Drama, Three Marriage Proposals and a Wedding
Las Vegas Chaparral High Class of '89 Takes Center Stage in This Eight-Episode TV Land Prime Original Series Starting January 13th at 10 p.m.
LOS ANGELES, Dec. 10 /PRNewswire/ -- TV Land's highest-rated original series, "High School Reunion," returns for another exciting season on January 13th, 2010, at 10:00 pm ET/PT. The eight-episode series from Next Entertainment and Warner Horizon Television is set on the beautiful island of Kauai and reunites former classmates from Las Vegas, Nevada's Chaparral High School Class of 1989.
This season, the Chaparral men will have their hands full as the ladies, who are divided into two self-proclaimed cliques - the "Summer Girls" and the "Cheerleadirrrs" - search for love at their 20-year high school reunion. But when the guys from rival school Valley High crash the reunion, will the Chaparral men be able to come out on top?
The Chaparral Class of '89 makes "High School Reunion" history with three marriage proposals and an unforgettable wedding set against a beautiful Hawaiian backdrop. Yet with all the love in the air, old rivalries lurk in the shadows and some of the classmates have come to the reunion to settle scores with their high school nemeses, reveal secrets about their past, seek acceptance from their peers and hear long-sought-after apologies from their former classmates. Can these former classmates leave the past in the past?
"High School Reunion" is produced for TV Land by Mike Fleiss ("The Bachelor") through his NEXT Entertainment production company in association with Warner Horizon Television.
Meet the Chaparral alums of '89:
Antanus - "The Ladies Man" was the ultimate player in high school but is now ready to prove that he has ditched his womanizing ways by possibly taking his four-year relationship with his girlfriend, Lakoiya, to the next level.
Cyndi - "The Nerd" was made fun of in high school for being awkward and scrawny, but now, as an adult, things are very different.
Elena - "The Popular Girl" had good looks, popularity, nice clothes, a convertible car and was part of the "Summer Girls" clique which made her the most envied girl in high school. She hasn't changed much since then and still fully expects to be the hottest girl at the reunion.
Eric - "The Gay Guy" was reserved and guarded in high school because of his fear of rejection. He is anxious to see how his classmates will react when he comes out of his shell ... and out of the closet as an openly gay father.
Jodi - "The Cheerleader" was the queen of Chaparral pep rallies and also dated the football jock (Joe) in high school. Joe was Jodi's "first love" and despite his cheating ways, Jodi is still excited to see what will happen between the two of them at the reunion.
Joe - "The Football Star" was a typical jock who loved to party and had a special way with the ladies at Chaparral. He dated Jodi, the popular cheerleader, but could not be faithful and broke her heart several times. He is looking for romance at the reunion, but isn't sure whether it will be with Jodi or another classmate.
John - "The Troublemaker" was known by classmates as "The Jerk" or "The Walking Moron." Today he still doesn't care what his fellow classmates think of his brash, assertive and aggressive ways.
Justin - "The Delinquent" was kicked out of Chaparral and graduated from Chaparral rival, Valley High in Las Vegas. Now happily married, he wants to have a blast with some old friends at the reunion.
Liko - "The Bully" was an amateur boxer in high school who got into a lot of fights and quickly gained a reputation as the tough guy. Liko is coming to the reunion in the hopes of winning back ex-wife and classmate, Rachelle.
Lissette - "The Hot Girl" in high school, spent much of her time hanging out with her best friend and fellow "Summer Girl," Elena. She hopes that the two of them will be able to reign as the most popular girls at the reunion.
Lori - "The Party Girl" was pretty and popular at Chaparral High. She is coming to the reunion to find love and face the "Summer Girls" who made high school hell for her.
Marcel - "The Prankster" went to the cross-town rival, Valley High, and is coming to the reunion to inject some good old school rivalry and steal the Chaparral girls.
Mark - "The Secret Admirer" is coming to the reunion to reveal his 20-year secret crush. He blew his chance at the 10-year reunion and is finally ready to tell his crush how he truly feels.
Rachelle - "The Late Bloomer" ended up marrying her high school sweetheart, Liko, but later got divorced after she found out that Liko was cheating on her. Rachelle feels that now is the time to move on and hopes that sparks will fly with one of her ex-classmates.
Tracy - "The Teacher's Pet" hung out with the nerds but dreamed of one day becoming a cheerleader and being accepted by her classmates. She hopes this reunion is her second chance to being a part of the "in" crowd and to find love.
Treda and Tracey - "The Class Sweetheart," and "The Jock" were high school sweethearts who have been married for over 16 years. Right after graduation, Tracey was signed to play professional baseball and, upon his departure for the season, Treda gave birth to a daughter with Cerebral Palsy. Tracey's long absence while on the road took a toll on Treda but their best friend Antanus was always there to support his friends. At the reunion, Treda and Tracey are excited to surprise Antanus with a special gift to express their gratitude for his ongoing support and help during Tracey's absence.
