The SRS TruVolume audio solution allows users to enjoy any kind of programming, music or movies, free from annoying volume fluctuations that are normally encountered when switching between sources, channels, and when programming transitions to commercials. Currently, TruVolume is available in Samsung and VIZIO HDTVs, as well as in VIZIO Sound Bars.
Although TV programming garners the most attention in regards to volume fluctuation, this annoyance is also prevalent in many other CE devices. For example, while streaming content to a PC from sources like YouTube or Hulu, volume fluctuates dramatically from video to video. Mobile phones also exhibit drastic volume fluctuations, notably when viewing streaming content or during phone calls. Additionally, car radios are plagued by the problem of extreme volume fluctuations between songs, DJs and commercials.
SRS Labs will award three winners with a VIZIO Sound Bar featuring SRS TruVolume and with a mention in a press announcement recognizing their literary accomplishment. Additionally the stories will be posted on SRS' Sounding Off blog, facebook and Twitter pages. As an additional honor, the top three stories will be eligible to be chosen as the creative inspiration for a future SRS commercial.
To further promote TruVolume, SRS Labs is also running a sweepstakes for a chance to win one of three HDTVs featuring SRS TruVolume. Participants are asked to vote on how SRS' new "date-gone-bad" TV commercial should end. The sweepstakes will take place October 7 - November 3, 2009. Please visit: www.srslabs.com/truvolume.
