"I watched both CMT and the CMA Awards most of my life growing up in Mississippi, so it's a real honor to announce the CMA nominations live on CMT," Houser said.
Los Angeles Times says Houser is adding "grit to the genre" on his exceptional debut album Anything Goes, which has positioned the Mississippi-born, Country singer and songwriter to become one of the next big artists to emerge in the genre.

His current hit single, "Boots On," is currently No. 2 on the Country radio charts making him the first new male artist to reach No. 2 since June 2006. As a recording artist and live performer, Houser has quickly earned a reputation for having one of the strongest voices in Nashville and will be co-headlining the national CMT ON TOUR '09: JAMEY JOHNSON AND RANDY HOUSER beginning in October and visiting 30 markets across the country.
Cody Alan can be heard hosting shows on both radio and TV.
