Denny Randell & Biddy Schippers to Appear on the 2009 Jerry Lewis MDA Telethon, Broadcast Live From Las Vegas on Labor Day Weekend

THE DUO WILL PERFORM A MEDLEY OF RANDELL'S LEGENDARY SONGS - INCLUDING TWO FROM JERSEY BOYS - PLUS THE RECENT RANDELL & SCHIPPERS HIT 'ALICE IN WONDERLAND'

LAS VEGAS, Aug. 27 /PRNewswire/ -- Songwriting, performing and producing duo Denny Randell and Biddy Schippers will perform a hit-packed medley of songs during the 2009 Jerry Lewis MDA Telethon. The medley will combine the dance music hits for which they're known, plus highlights from Randell's legendary career, which began when he composed classics for Frankie Valli & The Four Seasons and others. One of television's longest-running annual traditions, the Labor Day weekend Telethon will be broadcast live from the South Point Hotel, Casino & Spa in Las Vegas on September 6 & 7.

Randell & Schippers, who are currently Las Vegas-based, will perform their medley backed by a full line-up of top Las Vegas musicians that are veterans of major shows, including several from the late Danny Ganz's band. Among the songs to be featured is Randell & Schippers' recent dance chart and video smash "Alice In Wonderland," whose video--animated and produced by the duo--was a hit on Yahoo, YouTube and other sites worldwide.

The medley also spotlights timeless hits that Randell wrote for the Four Seasons, including two of the three that are featured in the Tony Award-winning Broadway musical Jersey Boys and on its GRAMMY -winning soundtrack: "Let's Hang On (To What We Got)" and "Workin' My Way Back To You." Other Randell-penned hits in the performance include the classics "Native New Yorker," "A Lover's Concerto" and "Can't Get Enough Of You Baby." Cumulatively, Denny Randell has written songs that have contributed to the sales of over 200 million records.

Denny Randell and Biddy Schippers' appearance at the Jerry Lewis MDA Telethon will give fans a first look at the stage show they're developing, which is set to premiere later this year. A musical revue of career-spanning highlights--from Randell's incredible repertoire and the Randell & Schippers canon of electronic dance classics--the show will be performed in Las Vegas, at select venues elsewhere, and at special events on an ongoing basis. Randell is also working with Rhino Entertainment on a companion CD that will be released to coincide with the show's debut.
