Nurse Turned Filmmaker Makes Lifesaving Film

Nurse Turned Filmmaker Makes Lifesaving Film

TAMPA, Fla., July 23 /PRNewswire/ -- Bay Area Registered nurse-turned filmmaker, David Burton, dropped the stethoscope, scrubs and chemical drugs and armed himself with a movie to help save lives. After seeing so many deaths due to preventable illness, Burton found an alarming connection between America's food ingredients (specifically hydrogenated oil) and the leading causes of death. Now he's going to tell the world what he found. The movie titled "inGREEDients" is already causing quite a stir with the Tampa Bay residents.

Russell Hess, another Bay Area filmmaker, decided to help Burton on his quest after having a battle with his own heart. "I was having typical symptoms of early heart disease and thought how could this be happening? I exercise, eat right and get enough rest. . .what's up?" Tests on Hess' "health" showed elevated cholesterol and triglycerides. After seeing "inGREEDients" he started seeking a cure and stopped treating symptoms.

Hess went on to say, "Whatever you think you know about diet and exercise is wrong. . .dead wrong." Hess has recently helped many filmmakers distribute their narrative films, mostly genre pieces, horror and Sci-Fi films. This is Hess' first attempt at a documentary. "It's the scariest movie I've ever seen and it's NOT a horror movie."

"InGREEDients" makes the connection between some of the nastiest and believe it or not, preventable diseases that are now at epidemic levels.

Burton said, "There's probably a reason the experts won't state for a fact why Michael Jackson and Billy Mays met their demise, and we may never know. The point of my movie is not necessarily to frighten people, but to simply get them to make better choices."

If you see one movie this year that could save your life, "inGREEDients" is that movie!

A public screening is scheduled on July 24th at 7PM at the Art Institute of Tampa located at: 4401 North Himes Avenue Tampa FL 33614 http://www.artinstitutes.edu/tampa/AboutUs/mapdirections.aspx
