Matt Braunger's 'Soak Up the Night' Album To Be Digitally Released By COMEDY CENTRAL Records(R) On July 14

NEW YORK, July 7 /PRNewswire/ -- Comedian Matt Braunger comes to COMEDY CENTRAL Records with his new full length, digital-only album, "Soak Up the Night," released on July 14.

Braunger is one of the brightest and most original comedians to hit the scene. Whether he's talking about his disdain for Cadbury Cream Eggs, his love of bathroom graffiti, or his intense fear of owls, his debut album, recorded live February 2009 at The Hollywood Improv in Los Angeles, is a perfect medley of Braunger's unique insights.

Braunger was raised in Portland, Oregon. An actor since childhood, he studied theatre in New York and improvisation in Chicago under such luminaries as Susan Messing and Del Close. Braunger was a founding member of the seminal improv group, "The Seaning" and it was in Chicago that Braunger became a full-fledged stand-up comedian as well, performing in both the 2001 and 2002 Chicago Comedy Festivals. He is a regular performer at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre in Los Angeles and a new series regular on "MADtv." His television credits also include "The Late Show with David Letterman," "Pushing Daisies," "Carpoolers," "iCarly," "Acceptable TV" and "Live At Gotham." He has been featured at the "Just For Laughs Festival" in Montreal 2007, "The TBS Comedy Festival" Las Vegas 2007 & 2008, "South By Southwest" and won the 2008 "Best Of The Fest" at the inaugural "Rooftop Comedy Festival" in Aspen.

Previously released recordings by COMEDY CENTRAL Records include: Dane Cook's "ISolated INcident," Cook's platinum-selling "Harmful If Swallowed" and double-platinum "Retaliation," Mitch Hedberg's "Do You Believe in Gosh?," Grammy Award-winning, "Lewis Black: The Carnegie Hall Performance," Grammy Award-nominees' Steven Wright's "I Still Have A Pony" and George Lopez's "American's Mexican," Joe Rogan's "Shiny Happy Jihad", Christopher Titus's "5th Annual End Of The World Tour," Norm MacDonald's "Ridiculous," Demetri Martin's "These Are Jokes," "Jim Gaffigan: Beyond The Pale," Mike Birbiglia's "My Secret Public Journal Live," D.L. Hughley's "Notes From The GED Section" and "Strategic Grill Locations" and Dave Attell's "Skanks For The Memories."
