Rock Boot Camp(SM) partners with musicgarage.org, brings exciting music program to Salt Lake City
SCOTTSDALE, Ariz., July 8 /PRNewswire/ -- Fueled by the Guitar Hero and Rock Band phenomena, a fresh surge of youngsters are signing up for music lessons. For those who want to get serious about music, there is now a way to experience the life of a rock n' roll star and take their playing to the next level in just a few days.
Rock Boot Camp(SM) is teaming up with musicgarage.org to bring an amazing music education program to Salt Lake City July 29-31, 2009. Rock Boot Camp(SM) is an action-packed musical event during which musicians 13 and up can hone their skills on guitar, bass and drums by forming a band with fellow musicians and performing a live concert. Held at the Rock n' Roll Academy facilities in North Salt Lake, Rock Boot Camp(SM) students will spend 2 full days learning from world-class professional musicians, getting behind-the-scenes insights into the music industry, trying out new gear and learning how to record music. A DVD of the final concert is included in the $299 tuition and students who sign up for Rock Boot Camp(SM) by July 15 will get a 50% discount.
On opening night, students and their families attend a live rock concert (held at One Mind Studios) with the Camp's guest artists: Doug Johns on bass, who has worked with Victor Wooten, Buddy Miles, Dweezil Zappa and many others; Bobby Rock, drummer for Gary Hoey, Carnival of Souls, Vinnie Vincent Invasion and others; and Neil Zaza on guitar.
