Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab Releases Limited Edition Series of Scents Based on 'Who Killed Amanda Palmer'

LOS ANGELES, July 23 /PRNewswire/ -- Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab (BPAL) presents a series of scents based on "Who Killed Amanda Palmer," a photo book with fictional stories by Neil Gaiman and photography by Kyle Cassidy, Beth Hommel and many others.

"Who Killed Amanda Palmer" is both a companion piece to Amanda Palmer's solo debut album and a book of "photographic evidence." Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab has created 12 pieces of corresponding "scent evidence," including "Cupcake Spatter Pattern Analysis," "Unfortunate Shopping Cart" and "Leaf Strewn Couch."

These scents will debut at San Diego Comic Con, at the Comic Book Legal Defense Fund booth and at Amanda Palmer's Friday night benefit concert at the San Diego Women's Club. They will be available soon after through http://www.postwartrade.com/.

Proceeds from every bottle sold go to the Comic Book Legal Defense Fund, a non-profit charitable organization founded in 1986 as a 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to the preservation of First Amendment rights for members of the comics community.

Amanda Palmer is a performer, director, composer and musician who is best known for her role as front woman and keyboardist for internationally acclaimed punk cabaret band The Dresden Dolls. In 2008, Amanda released "Who Killed Amanda Palmer," her debut solo album which was produced by Ben Folds. Amanda recently wrapped up a year-long tour that took her through sold-out performances in Europe, the US, Australia, New Zealand and most recently her epic set at Coachella. Live highlights of the last year include two epic performances with the Boston Pops at Symphony Hall, residency at the Famous Spiegeltent at Edinburgh and a critically acclaimed performance at the 2009 Coachella Valley Arts and Music Festival.

"Who Killed Amanda Palmer" will be available at Comic Con and can also be ordered from http://www.whokilledamandapalmer.com/.

Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab specializes in formulating intriguing, compelling body and household blends with a dark, romantic and sexual tone. Their scents run the aesthetic gamut of romance era, Renaissance, Medieval and Victorian formulas, pagan and mythological blends, and horror/Gothic-themed scents. They have over two decades of experience in the field and their joy is their work. All of their products are hand-blended in their laboratory.

San Diego Comic Con will be held July 23-26, 2009 at the San Diego Convention Center. The Comic Book Legal Defense Fund can be found at booth #1920.
