Action/Visual FX Packed Film with an Edge is Reminiscent of Classic Ray Harryhausen Films
HOLLYWOOD, Calif., July 16 /PRNewswire/ -- Giant Flick Films LLC announced today that it is in pre-production on the exciting, action packed, Middle Eastern fairy tale adventures of Sinbad the Sailor. Entitled Sinbad The Fifth Voyage, the film is derived from classic tales of the Arabian Nights. Primed for a 2010 release, Sinbad will be reminiscent of the classic Saturday afternoon matinee films originally brought to the silver screen in the '50s by stop-motion animation legend Ray Harryhausen.

The snarls of grotesque creatures, the genie of the lamp, the hordes of rabid cannibals, the temptation posed by shrouded beauties. And the unquenchable wanderlust that drives the daring voyager over terrifying terrain and in a search of yet another greater adventure. This is the elaborate labyrinth of mystical intrigue and Middle Eastern legend that moviegoers will inhabit once Giant Flicks Film's production of the ancient tale "Sinbad The Fifth Voyage" hits the screen next year. The upstart film company built on the philosophy that "the best stories remain yet untold or long forgotten" leads the way in reviving this classic story. Currently in preproduction.
Giant Flick Films is currently casting characters including the Sultan, the Sorcerer, and the Sultan's three beautiful daughters. The film brings back some of the celebrated tales and images of yester year and is guaranteed to entertain young and old audiences worldwide.
The role of Sinbad will be played by up and coming Persian-American actor/producer Shahin Sean Solimon. Giant Flick Films producer Sharon Wissel states, "Shahin has the look and portrayal of a genuine Sinbad. The screen tests were magnificent!" Seasoned director David Winning (Stargate: Atlantis, Andromeda) is slated to head up the film.
Sinbad The Fifth Voyage is already generating buzz in Hollywood and with sci-fi/fantasy fans across the globe. An unofficial appearance will be made by several of the film's characters at Comic-Con in San Diego this month. The film's official website is www.sinbadthemovie.com and interested fans can also find them on Facebook at www.facebook.com/SinbadMovie.
