NEP Broadcasting Introduces a New HD Mobile Unit

New SS20 is Fast, Flexible, Efficient and Green

PITTSBURGH, June 8 /PRNewswire/ -- NEP Broadcasting, the premiere provider of teleproduction services, is proud to announce the release of Supershooter 20. Built from the ground up, this new mobile television production truck is designed with the flexibility to handle productions of all shapes and sizes. SS20 features the latest, most powerful technology including: A Grass Valley Kalypso Production Switcher, EVS XT2 Servers, a Calrec Sigma Digital Audio Console with Bluefin Technology, Thompson LDK-6000 HD cameras with Canon and Fujinon lenses and virtual monitor walls throughout.

Designed to operate without the need for a B-unit, this exceptional truck requires 2/3rds less power consumption than most older single-units, yet manages to keep an open and spacious interior with a flexible layout that can accommodate both large and small productions easily. With this same eye to efficiency, NEP designed SS20 for a fast set and a quick strike, providing clients not only with energy savings, but time savings as well.

"In this changing market, NEP is conscious of our clients' need for trucks that are both powerful and efficient. With access to the latest technology, an in-house design and construction facility and some of the top engineering minds in the industry, we have been able to build several trucks that more than meet this demand. SS20 is no exception. It is loaded with the top-of-the-line gear integrated into a high-efficiency design producing a fast, flexible, efficient and green mobile unit," says Mike Fernander, NEP Supershooters President and General Manager.

SS20 will make its debut at College Baseball World Series for ESPN. This fall it is slated to do a wide-range of television productions from PGA events to The Summer X-Games to NBC's coverage of Notre Dame Football.
