Meet the Press to Be Rebroadcast on RLTV
BALTIMORE, June 11 /PRNewswire/ -- NBC and Retirement Living TV (RLTV) have entered into a licensing deal for the rebroadcast rights to the television institution Meet the Press. For 61 years, Meet the Press has featured headline-making interviews with world-leaders and U.S. newsmakers. The agreement allows RLTV to rebroadcast each week's program after its first airing on the NBC network.
This deal serves as a continuation of a partnership that has involved shared content and co-productions between NBC and RLTV. It represents another step in the close relationship NBC News and RLTV have developed over the past two years.
"RLTV's relationship with NBC News continues to strengthen and grow with projects like this. This is an audience that is a perfect fit for much of our programming, and Meet the Press is perhaps one of the best examples," said Steve Capus, President, NBC News.
From politicians and religious leaders to astronauts, sports stars and comedians, nearly every significant newsmaker for decades has appeared on Meet the Press. Throughout its tenure, it has remained committed to interviewing all of the key players in every U.S. political administration. President John F. Kennedy once referred to Meet the Press as "the fifty-first state," based on the integral role it has played in American government and policy.
"Our (RLTV) audience consumes massive amounts of news and political information. This opportunity with Meet the Press will enable us to bring the strength of the NBC News brand to our prime time line up and meet the needs of our target demographic," said Brad Knight, CEO, RLTV.
Premiering on July 13, Meet the Press will air on RLTV on Mondays at 7 and 10 p.m.
