Show gives insight to FARO's advancement in the green technology sector
LAKE MARY, Fla., May 5 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- FARO Technologies (NASDAQ:FARO), the world's leading provider of portable measurement and imaging systems, has announced they will appear on the first episode of Shades of Green on the Discovery Channel airing May 7, 2009 at 7am EDT. The company's leading-edge 3D measurement devices will be shown on their customers', ATI Casting Service out of Alpena, MI and Creative Foam Composite Systems out of Fenton, MI, shop floors. The focus of the episode will show how FARO and its customers are a part of the emerging green technology sector.
The first Shades of Green episode will focus on wind power and the key players involved in the industry, including FARO. They will go behind the scenes to illustrate the numerous steps that must be taken before a wind turbine can be built from planning to engineering to production. Future episodes will educate and bring awareness to viewers about alternative energies including solar and biodiesel.
