The Yolanda Adams Morning Show and Radio One Gospel Stations Raise More than $800,000 in National Radiothon Benefiting St. Jude
Second annual Radio One/St. Jude Radiothon reached listeners in 11 markets across the country
MEMPHIS, Tenn., April 10 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The second annual Radio One/St. Jude Radiothon, featuring the Yolanda Adams Morning Show, raised $840,000 for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital(R), one of the world's premier pediatric cancer research centers. Held on Thursday, April 2, the radiothon was broadcast on Radio One affiliate stations in 11 cities across the United States.

During the morning show, Yolanda Adams and co-host Brother Larry Jones encouraged listeners to donate to St. Jude by telephone or logging onto www.radiocaresforstjude.org. At the conclusion of the morning show, the 11 participating affiliate markets continued the radiothon into the early evening through the commitment of local on-air personalities. Participating stations were located in Houston, Tex.; Atlanta, Ga.; Raleigh and Charlotte, N.C.; Cleveland and Cincinnati, Ohio; Richmond, Va.; Detroit, Mich.; Philadelphia, Pa.; Indianapolis, Ind. and Washington, D.C.
