The five "Indie" awards On the Bus received include Award of Excellence for the film, Award of Excellence for its Lead Actor Mark Schrier (Sex and the City, In The Company of Agents, Passions), Award of Merit for its Director Willie Ford, Award of Merit for its Cinematographer Luis Molina, and an Award of Merit for writing for Jonathan Harnisch and Maureen Cooke.

"We are honored to receive two awards of excellence and three awards of merit for On the Bus," said Maureen Cooke, executive producer for Fat Man Media. "The 'Indie Fest' rewards independent filmmakers who produce fresh standout entertainment, animation and compelling documentaries from throughout the world. We produced On the Bus to show the psychological effects a traumatic situation can have on an individual during routine activities such as riding a bus."

On the Bus is a psychological thriller about the experiences of Larry (played by Schrier), a mentally disturbed man, who rides a bus and bothers passengers based on recent circumstances in his life. The film has a surprise ending that startles the audience, but ties the fragmented story together in a dramatic conclusion.
