LAS VEGAS, April 15 /PRNewswire/ -- National Association of Broadcasters Show -- It's time to roll out ATSC Mobile DTV. The 2009 NAB Show represents the first opportunity to display the entire mobile digital television (DTV) network, including solutions providers along the broadcast Mobile DTV value chain, from content and interactivity, to encoding and metadata, to multiplexing and transmission. Together, with an array of new partners and vendors, the Open Mobile Video Coalition (OMVC) is re-imagining the wireless arena, providing a first-class TV viewing experience for consumers.
The OMVC, an alliance of more than 800 broadcasters whose mission is to accelerate the development of Mobile DTV in the United States, along with its members and partners, will have an immense presence on the show floor, featuring a variety of live over-the-air capabilities, functional products and future services. The OMVC will also illuminate the lucrative opportunity that the technology presents -- unique to broadcasters -- that will not only expand their services to the public, but also increase broadcaster revenues. It's time to reveal the extent to which ATSC Mobile DTV is ready for deployment!
