NEW YORK, April 14 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- SIRIUS XM Radio (NASDAQ: SIRI) announced today that Archbishop Timothy Dolan, who will succeed the retiring Edward Cardinal Egan as Archbishop of New York on April 15, 2009, will host a national weekly talk show exclusively on The Catholic Channel, SIRIUS channel 159 and XM channel 117.

The first episode of A Conversation with the Archbishop will debut Thursday, April 16 (1:00-2:00 pm ET), and will feature Archbishop Dolan's first public comments following his installation as Archbishop of New York. The program, which will be co-hosted by Catholic Channel program director Rob Astorino, will air every Thursday afternoon throughout the year on The Catholic Channel and will replay each week on Saturday (6:00 am ET and 1:00 pm ET) and Sunday (9:00 am ET, 6:00 pm ET and midnight ET).
This week The Catholic Channel will offer listeners special programming to welcome Archbishop Dolan to his new post in New York. Today, April 14, The Catholic Channel will feature, within the regularly scheduled Busted Halo Show (7:00-10:00 pm ET), Archbishop Dolan's homily and remarks from the Solemn Vespers at St. Patrick's Cathedral in New York.
Tomorrow, Wednesday, April 15, The Catholic Channel will provide full coverage of Archbishop Dolan's Installation Mass at St. Patrick's Cathedral. Live coverage, which will be anchored from the cathedral by Rob Astorino and Father Dave Dwyer, CSP, will begin at 1:30 pm ET with the Solemn Procession of bishops, clergy and laity. The Mass begins at 2:00 pm ET and includes the reading of the Papal Bull for the formal Canonical Possession, which will see Archbishop Dolan officially enter his role of Archbishop of the Archdiocese of New York.
